The Equivalent Noise Level for my mic is 20db, but it's 18 db for the MXL 2001P.
I discoverd that the specs for my mic are very close to the specs of the MXL 2001P (which is one of the selections in the mic source field). I found 2 MXL mic selections under Marshall in the mic source field.
I had to look at my mic box to see that MXL is a division of Marshall Electronic, Inc. I need to correct myself, because I found that there are 2 MXL models in the mic source field. Do you think I can get good results from the product since my mic model is not in the source mic field? I was thinking of just randomly selecting mic models in the source field to just see how it will sound, but I want the product to work as it should. I just want the microphone modeler to work as best that it can, so I can see how good of a mic modeler it is, but since my mic model is not available in the source mic filed, do you think it's possible for me to truely experience Antares Microphone Modeler's mic modeling capabilities? Also, My mic model has a large capsule condensor. Is there a source mic model that's available in the source mic field that I can use instead? Which one should I select since you know I have a MXL mic model. There are no MXL models to select in the source mic field. I have a MXL V63M Mogami wired microphone model. In the modeler, there are fields to select the source mic and the modeled mic. Just look at all the mics this thing models.I hope there's someone here that has experience with or knows about the Antares Microphone Modeler. I think this product would be incredible for adding the “icing” to your mix. I just don’t want to completely advocate ditching proper EQ techniques and skimping on better quality gear.
